Hamburg, Germany, February 14th, 2012 - HOYER is stepping up its operations in Russia and Ukraine. The Hamburg-based logistics provider has just opened its own offices in Moscow and Odessa. In addition, Axel Brewe (52) head of Development Russia and Central Eastern Europe, will promote HOYER’s continued development in the increasingly important Central and Eastern European markets from Germany.
In addition to setting up the new HOYER companies, Brewe’s main tasks will include sales in Eastern Europe, Ukraine and Russia. Furthermore, he will continue to build up and expand the existing tank container network. Investments in company vehicles and local infrastructure will play key roles in this connection.
The Moscow offices, initially with a staff of seven, will be headed by Vadim Khalme (44), a lawyer with many years of experience in the Russian transport market. Before joining HOYER, Khalme served as logistics manager for an international oil company.
Almost simultaneously to the Moscow office, HOYER also opened its bureau in Odessa at the beginning of 2012. This will be run by Aleksey Koval (28), a graduate marine engineer who previously worked as a charter broker and in logistics for a major shipping company in Odessa.
HOYER is seeing above-average growth in Eastern Europe. The company has had its own branch office in Klaipeda/Lithuania since 2002. In 2010, HOYER began activities in Kaliningrad. Its current portfolio of Eastern European services mainly comprises intermodal transport, domestic trucking and the operation of depots offering a wide range of logistics services.
With the launch of its new Moscow and Odessa offices, HOYER continues the expansion of its Eurasian network.
