1946
- Walter Hoyer founds the company "Bruno Hoyer Internationale Fachspedition".
Walter Hoyer takes over the company name of his father, Bruno Hoyer, who has operated a
Hamburg milk wholesaling company of considerable proportions since 1922.

1948
- Purchase of the first vehicle for 22,791.20 Deutsche Marks. The delivery time was three days.

1953
- HOYER makes daily transports of up to 250,000 litres of milk to Berlin.
- Walter Hoyer founds the benevolent fund "Bruno Hoyer e.V." in order to support workers and their
dependents in cases of need.

1960
- Founding the first branch abroad in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

1969
- Walter Hoyer is the co-founder of "Kombiverkehr" and counts as a pioneer in this field.

1972
- Purchase of the first seven 'HOYER-tainers'.
- Completion of the first tank cleaning facility of HOYER UK in Huddersfield, Great Britain.

1985
- Opening of the first overseas company, HOYER USA in Houston, Texas - by this time there are
- Fifteen branches within Europe.
- Increase of the share capital from 7.5m to 10m Deutsche Marks.

1988
- Introduction of an emergency system.
- Rotterdams Tank Transport completes the construction of a silo bulk handling installation in Rotterdam.

1990
- The first vehicles are equipped with mobile terminals (satellite communication, Euteltracs).
- The first transport of refrigerated foodstuffs takes place in 'Reefer' tanks.

1991
- Walter Hoyer becomes Chairman of the Board of Directors from 1st July and Thomas Hoyer
becomes the Managing Director.

1994
- Founding of HOYER Multilog for the marketing of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC).

2002
- The 10,000th tank container at HOYER.
- Walter Hoyer, the founder of HOYER Group, passes away on 17th December at the age of eighty-seven years.

2005
- A new intermodal terminal starts operations in Schkopau, Germany. Turnover capacity of 48,000 units.

2006
- In October, Ortwin Nast, the first non-family member, takes his position as the CEO of HOYER Group.

2007
- The capacity of the Dangerous Goods Terminal in Dormagen is increased from 8,900 to 14,300 tons.
